Company

Gijeog Geoli is a Korean street food-inspired bistro bar and our first branch will be located at 244 Upper Thomson Road. As this is our first branch. we have started out with a small seating map of 20 seats in a semi-modern and traditional interior setting where the signboard will be lighted up by bulbs, to show the old yet new approach to the street food culture.

Business Goals

Gijeog Geoli specific business goals are:

  • Revenue of $356.000 for the first year
  • Clientele: Spread out to the different heartlands and create a base clientele of people who live in that area, where Korean street food indulgence will be convenient and readily available for them
  • Employees: Competent and loyal employees, where we look mostly at on-the-job hard work and not just paper experience.

Financial Projections

We project a growth rate of 8% per year for our first two years with our start-up store. As of now. I am the sole owner taking up the role of cashier/ bartender/ waiter of this bistro with 2 cooks/ bartenders, 3-floor staff as we foresee that the first 3 months of the start-up will be slow growth.

We will start to look for other investors once the business sticks to the financial projection and breakeven. as we believe that this would give credibility to our investors.

Competitive Advantages

To differentiate ourselves from the other Korean Restaurants in Thomson Road. we serve mainly Korean street food rather than the mainstream BBQ NH set meals.

Our interior is also designed to be old school with traditional wooden furniture and the exterior will be our lighted signboards and wooden facade.

In addition, we value our employer-employee relationship very much, everybody in Gijeog Geoli will be treated like family. We acknowledge and reward good work efforts, we also maintain a happy environment, morals and strive to make the newly launched bistro bar worth its while.

The Vision

Gijeog Geoli envisioned having multiple franchises branch out

to the heartlands of Singapore so that locals can enjoy the variety of street food and beverages with their friends and family. Our mission is to offer affordable and authentic Korean street food culture to our local customers without having them spend the money to travel there. Our belief is that street food culture should be spread and shared among more people, and It should be as authentic as possible so when they are eating in our bistro, they can have an experience like no others.

Company

For our Korean Street Food Culture-inspired bistro, we will be serving a variety of traditional street food delights that are famous in Korea but rare in Singapore along with Soju, a traditional liquor from Korea. We will also be mixing a series of unique tasting cocktails and mocktails that are also inspired by Korea.

Company Objectives:

• Allow customers to feel like they have entered Korea Street Market

• A little getaway from buzz life and hang out with friends

• To have engaging conversations and good memories
