Assignment brief

 Task 1: You should; depending on your own skills and experience, identify a suitable graduate position, or a placement with a chosen company.  You then need to analyse the external/internal environment for your chosen industry, company and produce a professionally presented targeted CV.

You need to include the following items in your portfolio:

(1)       A brief external analysis of the labour market of industry/sector for your      chosen position with appropriate referencing

(2)       A brief SWOT analysis of the chosen company (this should align with

the Job advertisement with appropriate    referencing

(3)       Actual detailed advertised job description and/or person specification       for your chosen job/placement within the chosen company (screenshot  of job description)

(4)       Targeted Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resumé (Maximum two pages) refer to sample targeted CVs for details

After completion of the assessment the following learning outcomes should be achieved:

LO1: Review their skills development to-date and be able to reflect upon the relevance of this to the career development process

LO2: Perform an analysis of the marketing and advertising graduate labour market.
