Question 1
For each of the four lessons/sessions conducted, write a report evaluating the success of your design and planning for each lesson/session. You are expected to critique in-depth the following:
- student/player performance objectives
- the way you organised your lessons/sessions
- choice of facility and equipment
- choice of teaching/coaching strategies
- duration and timing for each lesson/session component
- student/player responses
In examining the performance objectives, determine and explain the appropriateness of the objectives developed for the learning experience in the three domains (psychomotor/cognitive/affective). You are also required to reflect on and discuss the manner in which you plan for your lessons/sessions in light of the potential limitation of space, number of students/players, and availability of equipment.

- quality and method of content presentation/instructions
- quality of demonstrations
- timing of lesson components
- phases of skill development
- relevance and specificity of game scenarios
- understanding of the different types of feedback available/quality of feedback
- the extent to which the lessons/sessions are effectively linked together
Question 3
Write a single report on the students’/players’ learning progress over the four lessons/sessions, describing specifically the implications of your learning design on the different groups of learners:
- different genders
- students/players with different levels of ability
In your answer, you should:
- demonstrate a clear understanding of the differences between Open and Closed motor skills
- examine the classification of Open and closed motor skills and the implications of such for the design of learning
- examine the students’/players’ ability to manage formative assessment (i.e. self and peer-based), and what you (the teacher/coach) learned from the formative assessment process
- examine the extent to which the learning outcomes were achieved
Question 4
Write a summative report (approximately 500 words) for the project describing/explaining the following:
- successes and failures of planning and preparation
- design characteristics of good task presentation
- learning points for future instruction/coaching
