A. Objectives

B. Project Description

The organisation/company that you are working for has adopted corporate social responsibility as part of its business model and is interested to find out more about the sustainability trends in the manufacturing industry in order to explore ways to address the Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

C. Instructions

Identify a product/process/material in the manufacturing industry that addresses SDG 121 . Research on the background and sustainable features of the chosen product/process/material2 and write a report on it for submission to your supervisor/manager.

In your report,

1. State the purpose of the report

2. Provide context to the issue relating to the selected product/process/material

3. Explain sustainable features of your lecturer-approved choice

4. Evaluate the product/process/material using ONE suitable analysis tool:
a. SWOT analysis OR
b. PESTLE/PEST analysis

Your report should also

1. Consist of 500-700 words
2. Be written in your own words, even when referring to sources (except for direct quotations)
3. Be divided into meaningful sections with relevant headings
4. Cite all sources of information (i.e., all secondary data sources, e.g., books, articles, websites, and pictures) via in-text citation and referencing using the Harvard Style stated in the SP Library Citation Guide (see https://sp- sg.libguides.com/citation/) regardless of whether you are paraphrasing in your own words or lifting a quote directly from a source
5. Be written in formal language and Standard English
6. Contain useful visuals to enhance the understanding of the report

D. Submission Requirements and Deadline

Please submit the CA2 assignment to your lecturer via the SP Learning Management System (eSP – Brightspace) by the end of your usual time-tabled EWW lesson in Week 17. BEFORE you submit/upload your work
i. Ensure that you have appended a cover page which includes your Full Name, Student ID, Module Class, Submission Date and Word Count
ii. Save your work in pdf file format (to preserve the desired formatting)
iii. Name your pdf file following this format– class_full name (for e.g., DARE1A01_John Tan.pdf)
