  • In February 2020, US Federal prosecutors charged Chinese telecommunications company Huawei, along with several subsidiaries, with conspiracy to steal trade secrets and violate anti-racketeering laws.

How did this situation begin?

Hua Wei violated American trade by stealing trade secrets and helping Iran track protesters in its latest indictment against the Chinese company, escalating the U.S. battle with the world’s largest telecommunications equipment maker.

In January 2019, Hua Wei was involved in bank and wire fraud, violating sanctions against Iran, and obstructing justice. Apparently Hua Wei was lying about not sending prohibited U.S computer equipment to Iran, Tehran. Hua Wei documents being reviewed stating strong evidence involvement in alleged trade sanctions telling that it was already delivered and waiting for customs clearance.

On 13 Feb 2020 racketeering conspiracy charges on Hua wei & plotting to steal trade secrets from American companies. Huawei also allegedly assisted Iran’s government in domestic surveillance during the 2009 demonstrations in Tehran and tried to conceal the scope of its business in North Korea, according to the indictment.
