Overview of the assessment

The assignment consists of designing a simulated psychological experiment,
analysing those data (including a graph), and presenting a research report of maximum 1000 words that follows the guidelines of the Publication Manual of
the American Psychological Association 7th Edition. Week 4 and 6 (Lecture and Workshop) will provide the most relevant theoretical and practical information on completing the assignment.

Research report
The research report should contain the following sections:

• Introduction: Includes a brief background. Explains the rationale of the
  study, and states the hypothesis tested in the study.
• Methods: Contains minimum details necessary for another researcher
  to replicate the study. It includes the subsections “Material/s”and
  “Procedure”.
• Results: Reports on normality testing. Presents descriptive
  statistics and inferential statistics (chosen statistical test)
  including a graph (the graph is NOTincluded in the word count).
• Discussion: It indicates whether the hypothesis was supported by the
  data, and it relates the results of the present study with previous research. It also discusses the limitations of the study and offers suggestions for future research.
• References: A list of the references used in the previous sections. (This part is NOT included in the word count). You must include between five and ten references: no more than ten and no less than five. Note that having, for example, ten reference instead of five does not equal a higher mark
